the Log - SHEREE PLETT & EISENHAUER

Whether we're touring, recording, booking shows, doing publicity, promoting, and all the rest, we try to document it all here. These are the notes, stories, pictures and movies of a few small artists trying to do big things.

Tour Log

Day 24/25

So last night in Berwick was awesome. We played as the feature for an open mic night that they host every Friday night. Most mentionable was a band called ‘Dayliner(band.com)’ and than later on Steve played. It was so nice to be in an environment where the music was just about the music. Having fun, playing your favorite songs and singing from your heart. Steve was so sincere and it just melted my heart. Hopefully his picture will be up soon because it is awesome.

Today we played 2 gigs in Halifax. One at a place called the Carleton where we did the ‘Sing For Your Supper’ with some other local songwriters. (Dinner was amazing, but the Wick/Union Street Cafe’s food was even better and they gave us more of it and brunch the next day. Best bar show of the tour).

Than later on we headed down to the Company House where we played with Ruth Minnikin and Sherry Ryan. We played with Ruth the last time we were in Halifax and she is so awesome. Her band this time was her on accordian and guitar (not at the same time unfortunately), Anna on french horn and Ruth’s boyfriend Craig on bass. Last time she had bass clarinet too. They have the coolest rythmic dynamics. Search for Ruth on myspace or something. It’ll be worth the time.

So! This was our furthest destination and one of our last shows of the tour. Crazy!!! This has been such a wild trip. It’s hard to explain on our blog. You’ll have to have us over soon and we’ll talk in more detail.

Anyways. We’ll keep blogging everyday during the coming weeks. This week we will be in Mahone Bay visiting with my family whom I love. Always a good time.

Stay tuned!
