Tour Log
Day 15
And the winner of the ‘Wierdest Door Poster’ goes to … Teranga African Bar!
Aside from (and including) that, the show went really well. We sure had a good wrestling match with Toronto before that. I guess it’s been a while since we’ve been in a real big city (sorry Winnipeg, we still love you terribly much but) but this city in rush hour is complete mayhem! It took us over 30 minutes to drive 1.5 KLM to get to the venue from a market place we were at. 30 MINUTES! I was honestly considering just getting out if the van and walking away. Leaving all the gear - whatever. So insane.
Anyways, Teranga was a neat little African place. Small room with nice sound and nice people. Admitedly we were worried that the concert would not go well. One of the bands that was supposed to be a good local draw wound up cancelling the day before the show. The venue got switched the week before the show. So our expectations weren’t too high.
But again, we learnt the lesson that we can never judge, and we always have to be humble and think the best of people and sittuations. Despite the few unavoidable set backs, Pitter Patter (the promotion co.) did a good job and helped us out tons. This Is Picture played after us and he was really amazing. Search him on Oogle or something. Long drive back to Kitchener and now ready to crash into bed. Talk tomorrow my lovely little blog. Your bff Jer
