Day 9
Last night we played a little house concert at Rock Island Lodge just south of Wawa ON. The space was really beautiful, and we got to stare out at Lake Superior as the sun set over the mountians. Par for the course- there were only about 7 people here, but all of those were great, and we almost had more fun talking with people between sets than we did actually playing music for them.
I guess that’s the interesting thing about touring the way that we do. We don’t need big crowds and herds of people to come to our shows. Sure it’s nice when lots of people show up, but it’s also really nice to meet people and chat on a more personal level.
Anyways - the above picture is our view just after the show last night. What a beautiful place. And the fishermen staying here wound up being super nice!
Today we drive to Sault St. Marie and play at Lop Lops tonight. We played there a couple years ago. It’s a nice little space. Looking forward to it.
More to come later on today.
