Day 4
We did blog yesterday, but it got deleted. Sheree wrote a great poem yesterday, and wrote it on the blog, but for some reason it didn’t work.
Yesterday we drove for a loong time. Spent about 16 hours in the van. It was really nice actually, to just sit in the van and watch the sun set and look at all the vast beautiful prairie sky.
We got to Winnipeg around 1.30 in the morning and than picked up Penner (who’s place we were going to sleep at last night). Drove him to his parents house where he grabbed LIFE cerial, and some blankets, than we drove to his new place. We didn’t get to sleep around 3.30 am. Slept in this morning until around 11.00am.
Penner and I spent most of the day working on the van. We did an oil change and changed out a busted headlight. Than we came here (cousin Roshonna’s house) to help prepare for the house concert tonight.
The concert here was the best concert of the tour so far. The house is beautiful and old and there is a beautiful attic where they have all their shows. So we got to play the concert without any sounds system (which is how I love playing shows the most right now), and that made things really nice.
Now we’re hyperly sitting around with Roshonna - laughing our faces off and telling old jokes and stories and making ugly faces. It’s so good to see all these Plett family members. We’re hoping that on Monday we can head out to Morweena to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa Plett. Morweena is by far one of my favorite places on earth.
