the Log - SHEREE PLETT & EISENHAUER

Whether we're touring, recording, booking shows, doing publicity, promoting, and all the rest, we try to document it all here. These are the notes, stories, pictures and movies of a few small artists trying to do big things.

Day 1

We made it into Kelowna a bit later than we were supposed to for sound check. The drive was fine, but insanely hot, and we can’t help but dread the coming heat of Manitoba and Ontario. Sheree took this photo of me driving bare back through the mountians - somerhing I never really thought I would do. Not sure why… Maybe feels a bit chochy. I bought new sun glasses - the exact same ones as my little brother (as seen in the picture below).

Tonight we played at the Minstrel Cafe. The place wasn’t bad. The ‘crowd’ was small, but hearty and friendly. Met up with some friends Eric and Ashley Olsen … (Not The Ashley Olsen, unfortunately). As well as our good friend Kurtis and also ran into our pal Scurvy Bones for a beer after the show. It was good to see them and soften the blow of leaving our beautiful little home.

Anyways, the drive up was nice and it does feel really good to start playing these shows that took over 2 months of time to book.

Looking forward to tomorrow night at Angels place. This will be concert #3 with them, and they’re always fun to play at.

Long drives require good sleeps. So I’m off to sleep. Until tomorrow
